What is To Call Me?

To Call Me is a telephone service from OKay Inc. A small Canadian IT company.

May I use the To Call Me telephony service if I am a run small to medium sole proprietorship business?

Yes of course, as long as your business is legit.

May I use the To Call Me telephony service for my home?

Yes, we have To Call Me Residential that is tailored to residential needs.

May I use the To Call Me telephony service if I am running a call center business?

Yes of course. You may need To Call Me Business or To Call Me Enterprise depending on your business need. Please note that you are not exempt from the possible surcharges.

May I bring my own termination trunk and telephone numbers?

Yes, only if you are using To Call Me Enterprise. Please note that there is no discount if you are not using the included minutes.

For how long do you keep the CDR, Recordings and Voicemails?

Call Detail Records (CDR) are saved in our main database for a month, later is moved to our archive where we will guaranty keeping them for three months. Recordings are and voicemails are saved for only one month.

If you are using To Call Me Enterprise you will be able to change these policies as long as your server resources allow it.

May I port my old phone number?

If you are in To Call Me As You Go, sadly no. However, if you are in any other plan the answer is yes. There is no port-in charge, however, you will need to pay at least 3 months in advance of your current plan.

Do you have a fee for porting out?

It is sad you ask this, but yes. The fee depends on the telephone number you are porting out. You should have balance when that happens.

How do I select the telephone number?

When you sign up, we will ask you for the city of your preference. After that, we will contact you with a list of available phone numbers and we expect you to select the first and second option as fast as possible. We will then enable the telephone and your service will start working. This process takes from 5 minutes to 12 hours (depending on the hour you sign up), our local time zone is EST.

I already have my PBX, may I use To Call Me?

To Call Me is thought to be an end-user service, therefore it is a hosted PBX. If you want to use your own PBX and you are only looking for affordable SIP termination trunks, you may want to check To Connect Me then.

Billing

Is To Call Me a prepaid or postpaid telephony service?

To Call Me is a 100% prepaid telephony service.

What payment methods are supported?

We support PayPal and major credit or debit cards (VISA, Mastercard). These methods will make your balance to be updated in minutes. If you are a Canadian customer, we can arrange an e-transfer payment.

Do you discount any fee when paying?

Yes, as many pre-paid services they discount gateways fees. However, we share the fee's responsibility. Usually, PayPal and credit card gateways bill 30 USD cents and 3%, we understand that charging you all is not fair, we only discount 30 USD cents and 1.5%.

Do you charge taxes?

Yes if you are a Canadian resident, you would be subject to taxes. Depending on your residence address, it could be HST (13%) or GST (5%).

Can you bill me in my local currency?

It depends on your country. If your local currency is USD, EUR, GBP, AUD or NZD then we can arrange this.

What is the minimum top-up amount?

10 USD or the equivalent in the currency we agree.

Do you have any surcharge?

Sadly yes. Surcharges are placed to discourage unauthorized traffic such as fraudulent calls, call centers, or robocalls. We have in place the following surcharges:

  • Short Calls: if 10% (or more) of your last 30-day calls are answered calls with a length between 0 and 6 seconds a 0.07 CAD (or equivalent currency) surcharge is applied to your balance.
  • Cancel Ratio: if 15% (or more) of your last 30-day calls are cancelled a 0.07 CAD (or equivalent currency) surcharge is applied to your balance.

What IP telephone brands does To Call Me support?

Virtually any brand of IP phones that supports the SIP protocol. We have tested our service on the following brands: SNOM, Grandstream, Yealink and Polycom.

What codecs does To Call Me support?

It would be awesome if we could provide support for any codec, however, this would make the SIP payload too big and some networks would filter because of that. We support the following codecs:

  • G.711 (aka αLaw or μLaw), 
  • G.729, and
  • GSM.
